Across the world, education systems are shifting towards learner-centred models that recognise diversity in how people think, process and apply information. A UNESCO global report (2023) notes that students who engage with personalised learning strategies achieve, on average, a 20% increase in knowledge retention and confidence.

Similarly, a Cambridge University study (2022) found that when parents understand their children’s learning preferences, academic engagement and home support improve measurably.

What the MCA Learning Styles Workshop Offers

MCA’s Learning Styles Workshop is designed to turn that insight into practice. Using frameworks such as VARK and multiple intelligence mapping, parents and learners identify preferred learning approaches while exploring how these preferences can be integrated into daily study and communication habits.
Rather than promoting fixed “types”, the workshop encourages flexibility, a skill valued by global employers who increasingly prioritise cognitive adaptability.

The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs 2023 lists active learning and curiosity among the top five competencies for the future workforce, reinforcing why these conversations matter early.

Building Emotional Connection Through Learning

Beyond the theory, the workshops also help families connect emotionally through learning. Parents discover how their own work habits and stress responses mirror their children’s, while learners gain tools to advocate for their own needs in academic or creative environments.

It becomes a shared experience that strengthens motivation and mutual understanding. By February 2026, as schools reopen and new goals take shape, families who attend will begin the year equipped with insight, strategy and renewed optimism.
